Prevent and Treat Gum Disease with Periodontal Care

If you or a member of your family experience diseases or disorders with your gums or the bones that support your teeth, one of our periodontal residents can deliver the care you need at The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University.

The Periodontal residents specialize in preventing, diagnosing, and treating diseases and disorders of the soft and hard tissues that surround and support the teeth. They also specialize in the esthetic and comprehensive treatment, as well as placement and repair of dental implants. All residents receiving training in the program are closely supervised by highly trained, licensed periodontists who guide them through the process.

Your care will be delivered in a dedicated clinic on the first floor of The Dental College of Georgia, a world-class facility that offers easy access to every dental specialty under one roof should a referral be needed.

The team makes each visit as pleasant as possible by using various types of medications and techniques to manage anxiety and control pain. These include light to moderate sedation and general anesthesia options.
